We can provide the COSHH Assessments for many of our products which includes providing your staff with suitable training on how to use our cleaning chemicals efficiently and safely.

Our experienced and expert personnel can visit your factory or workplace to compile a bespoke Cleaning Procedure for all the Milne Chemicals and products used on site.

Assessments Details:

We work closely with your organisation and team in supporting you in identifying any potential hazardous substances assisting  you to create a system of effective controls that will manage your risks in the workplace. As consultants we specialise in tailoring all the relevant documentation, processes and operations from the assessment through to control measures, implementation and review.

 

The Hazardous substances we will cover:

  • Solvents and cleaning products
  • Dusts (existing or dusts generated by works on site)
  • Fumes, gases, and vapours
  • Glues and mastics
  • Mutagens and carcinogens
  • Substances with workplace exposure limit

 

The COSHH Assessment will include:

COSHH stands for Control of Substances Hazardous to Health. The COSHH Assessment will specifically identify and assess any potential hazardous substances that may cause harm to employees within the workplace, including anyone else who may become affected by the hazardous substances.

The COSHH Assessment will incorporate the five steps as outlined by the HSE:
  • Reviewing and identifying any hazardous substances and potential exposures
  • Exploring the potential individuals who maybe harmed and how this would affect them. These could include employees, contractors, members of the public, and the environment
  • Evaluating the risks and reviewing potential precautions
  • Recording the significant findings from the assessment
  • Reviewing and updating the COSHH assessment with regard to any changes to a situation or the workplace environment.

All the recommended preventative measures and safe systems of work are in compliance with the EH40/2005 Workplace Exposure Limits.
